Chrysler Group saw sales rise 13 per?cent in July, while Ford sales were down 4 per?cent and GM sales were down 4.6 per?cent for the month. Other car?mak?ers include: Toy?ota up 26 per?cent; Nis?san up 16 per?cent, Hyundai up 4 percent.

Chrysler sold 126,089 units, said its sales increase was dri?ven by two mod?els that set sales records for the month of July: the Chrysler 200 mid?size sedan and the Dodge Jour?ney full-size crossover. Sales of the Jour?ney were up 69 per?cent, the largest per?cent?age increase of any Chrysler model in?July.
GM said its July sales of 201,237 units were down 6.4 per?cent over the same month a year ago, largely because sales to rental fleet cus?tomers dropped by 41 percent.
(Ford) Escape sales dipped about 12 per?cent, though the num?ber of 2013 mod?els sold was in line with the approx?i?mately 11,000 sold last month dur?ing the vehicle?s debut.
