Location: Florham Park, NJ
Project Manager: ?Angelo Santoro
Estimator: Greg Kihm
Project Scope: ?Complete renovation of main floor living areas including kitchen, dining room, foyer, bathroom, and family room.
Homeowners, Al and Elizabeth Infranco contracted Monk?s Home Improvements last year to repaint the exterior of their home. During that project, estimator, Greg Kihm also talked to the homeowners about ideas they had for remodeling their main living area. About a year later, the Infranco?s were ready to put those plans into action and called upon Monk?s Home Improvements to execute their vision for the remodeled space. This contemporary designed home was built in the 80?s and was in need of some updating. The homeowners were anxious to upgrade the basic builder fixtures by making custom design choices that would add character and warmth.
The plans called for a complete kitchen remodel with new cabinetry and countertops, glass tile backsplash, new tile floors, professional grade appliances, upgraded lighting, new paint and a built in banquette window seat?in the eat in kitchen.
The bathroom renovation included new tile flooring, a new shower and tub,?new paint, vanity, mirror and lighting.
The living room, dining room and family room received new paint, modern lighting, and flooring.
The original white oak floors were sanded and stained a dark chocolate brown and a white marble inlay was added in the front entry.
A large wall in the living room was opened up to the outside by adding 4 large symmetrical?windows.
Living in your home throughout a renovation can be a challenge even under the best of circumstances. That is why, at Monk?s Home Improvements we take extra measures with our home renovations to make sure that our customers are comfortable throughout the process. We assigned one crew to work on this project. The same five person crew worked on this project from start to finish with the same foreman on the job site each day. This allowed the Infranco?s to get to know the crew, have an open line of communication and feel confident that the work was getting done on time and on budget.
The homeowners were happy with their home renovation and we have already begun discussions of future projects including adding a mother in law suite, a master bath renovation and a new roof.
