The troika comprising the president, prime minister and army chief held at important meeting at the Presidency late on Thursday to discuss matters related to the country?s security situation, especially after a Taliban attack on teenage education activist Malala Yousafzai, and other issues of national importance.
According to a TV channel, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Deputy Prime Minister Pervez Elahi and PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency on Thursday night and discussed the energy crisis in the country.
The channel said that Army chief General Ashfaq Kayani also joined the talks.
