T-Mobile and AT&T have confirmed plans to stock HTC?s upcoming Windows Phone 8X, the device that was unveiled on Wednesday alongside the mid-range Windows Phone 8S, though neither carrier went on to divulge any pricing or availability information for the device.
T-Mobile were first out of the traps, informing users that they would indeed be stocking the new device, which packs a 1.5GHz ?Krait? CPU, 8-megapixel primary camera and Beats Audio enhancement, and invited users to subscribe to email updates.
AT&T wasn?t far behind and the carrier posted a note confirming that the device would be arriving ?within the coming months,? but much like T-Mobile, refrained from getting customers hopes up, though the device is widely expected to begin shipping in November.
The news that two major LTE-touting carriers are planning to get on board with the devices is likely to come as music to the ears of HTC?s sales execs, as the company has endured a rather shaky year, with office closures and losses abound, but the introduction of the two new devices, alongside a comparatively strong Android range, and rumors of a new tablet on the horizon, are likely to bolster the Taiwanese firms resolve for the upcoming iPhone 5 onslaught.
